This course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. The course is intended for certified or noncertified, licensed or nonlicensed healthcare professionals. Students will learn how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED), how to relieve a victim that is choking, and how to recognize emergencies such as cardiac arrest or stroke and how to respond to them. This course is required for anyone working in the healthcare provider setting; hospital, hospice, home healthcare, nursing home, and the like.

If you are recertifying you will need to bring with you your old AHA BLS card. Without this card you will be rescheduled for an initial certification.
